House of HSU in Grand Ledge

Called for some takeout and when I was told the total I told them to cancel the order.. $50.00 for not alot of takeout is ridiculous. Went to another establishment and got the exact same order for $28.00 and it is just as good as the House....Price yourselves right out of Business!!!

I used to go here all of the time. It was the only Chinese food place my family would eat at. The last few visits it has gone downhill. The quality of food and ingredients are not what they used to be.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the Lansing area. Prices are comparable to other restaurants and good sized portions.

Used to go here as a kid for special events. Was a beautiful authentic meal.Since then they have jacked up the prices and downgraded food quality. I always ordered soup but want to try their General Tso's chcken. When I got home I was dumbfounded: - a container of Tso sauce - two pieces of broccoli - deep fried battered chickenWant a disappointed. I wanted my money back but figured they would decline. Litterally looks like it came out of a bag from Costco.I'm done with this place....bamboo garden is the real deal

BEST Chinese food I've ever had! Was visiting from out of town and had lunch here. Large menu selection of old favorites and many other choices I've not seen elsewhere. Generous portions of fresh, delicious food. I had the three delicacies soup and shrimp and eggplant in garlic and ginger sauce. Divine! I've never seen crab rangoon (ordered from app menu) that huge, nor had an egg roll that delicious and crispy. The food and service here are on a whole other level. Lunch menu was in effect so I had the soup, app crab rangoon and entree for 20.00. Their prices are very fair. I will drive the 40+ miles to eat here again, for sure. Excellent food.

Wonderful service and food was very good.

Never to go there again. The gal at the counter was plain RUDE and short. I understand people try to be firm but that was plain RUDE especially when lunch cost $37 plus...steer clear people. There are umpteen places around there to have a good bite for lunch.

Best place for Chinese food. Love egg rolls, soup and other food. Staff is very helpful.

I adore the food at House of Hsu, it's the first place I go when I'm in Grand Ledge visiting family and has been for at least 20 years. I cannot say enough good things about the food and service. Get the dumplings and the beef with broccoli they are my absolute favorites.

One of the worst places I have ever ate at! The lettuce wraps were amazing, don't get me wrong. As soon as our food came out a heavy stench engulfed our booth. It smelled like burnt pee. The worst smell I have ever smelled. Couldn't even bite into the food without nearly throwing up. My 1.5 year old was sitting very contently playing with the sugar packets and the owner came up and told him to stop playing with them and took it away from him, inducing a temper tantrum. I would not!!!!! I REPEAT WOULD NOT EAT HERE!

I've only ever ordered takeout, never dined in. But my order has always been correct and the food is great!

Food was excellent and staff was great. Portions were large for lunch. Did not leave hungry. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were reasonable.

This place has the best Chinese food in the area! The egg drop soup is wonderful!! We always get extra to go!!

Food is always delicious and the service is pretty too notch. Prices are super reasonable and you always get a ton of food.

Our server was great....owner was NOT she should not be dealing with customers service at all. Let alone own a restaurant. She was very rude and hot-tempered. We were just asking questions about the menu and she got very very disrespectful. Center for some anger management classes. Or get out of the restaurant business. Food was okay not half as good as I remembered in the past.

First time trying this restaurant. The quality just isn't there to support the prices they charge. I will stick with Bamboo Garden.

We have had takeout here many times and consistently excellent quality food. A staple in the community!

The food here is always good. Usually it isn't too busy but last night was valentines day and there was a line waiting to be seated. Luckily we got there early enough that we didn't have to wait. The service is always good and most of the servers have been there for years. The booths could use a revamp. The benches aren't very comfortable and are awkward to get into and out of. I haven't tried the tables so can't comment on the chairs. If you want good Chinese food this is the place to go.

Today me and my daughter went to lunch fantastic food as always the only down fall was the service during our lunch experience hopefully next time we visited it will be better.

Pretty good! Sesame chicken is served sauce and chicken separately and it makes for a crunchy dish. All good white meat too. Hot and sour soup is pretty good too. Good egg roll too.

One of the last Asian owned and operated Chinese restaurants left in the area. Good food and service are the daily norm here. The freshly made lunch special menu at $5-6 trumps McD B.K. any day. Enjoy House of Hsu while you can as it is a struggle for small businesses to continue to operate. 🍚 🍵 🇨🇳 🍵. Bring a friend here and enjoy. 🍵 🍵

The take out food was delicious and prepared quickly. The disappointment came when we went to eat it. There wasn't any napkins or eating utilseles. Most take out restaurants include those things.

Lunch menu. I had lung pain chicken which was excellent.

Chicken cashew was not good, tasted like already cooked chicken added, inadequate seasoning.

The booths are little run done but don't judge the food on the looks of the inside of the restrant. Had the sweet and sour chicken. Its some of the best I have had. My kid had Buble tea and enjoyed it.

food is excellent service is good ambiance not bad. Hard to find good food like this in farm country. Never been disappointed.

Customer service was not pleasant. There were 3 parties in the restraunt and our large party of 12 was denied the opportunity to put more then 2 tables together to be seated comfortably together. I asked for lemon for my water and it was not brought to me. I asked for water and the waitress filled everyone's water but mine and then walked away. I waited and finally got up to get more myself. This was not a way to win more customers for an empty restraint.
